Storage of a pupil’s personal information
I have standards in place to secure a pupil’s personal information recorded on paper and digital format.
Personal information recorded on paper for current pupils is kept in my work folder, which I bring to lessons and at other times store securely in my house.
Personal information recorded on paper for previous pupils is transferred to another folder, which I also store securely in my house.
Digital format personal information (lesson and payment information) is stored on my home PC, which is password protected.
If consent has been given by a pupil (written consent asked for from 25th May 2018), photo(s) of them holding their pass certificate will be posted on my website and/or business Facebook page, which both have full public access.
Personal information held on paper will be shredded at the appropriate time.
Personal information held digitally will be deleted at the appropriate time.
Photos on my website and/or business Facebook page will be removed at the appropriate time.
If personal information about a pupil is lost or stolen, I will let them know and will report it to the police.
